The Dinwiddie Airport and Industrial Authority is accepting sealed bids for re-marking the entire airfield to include runway, taxiways and aprons. Sealed bids will be received by the Authority until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment and performing all work required to satisfactorily complete the above project. Items of work include re-marking existing taxiway centerlines, runway markings and apron tie-downs. The paint material and method of application must be consistent with the current version of FAA specification P-620 as shown on our webpage. (Please note the elimination of the third paragraph requirements to 620-3.3). An exhibit depicting the area to be remarked can be obtained at the airport from the airport manager.
Proposals must include a lump sum price.
Interested bidders shall visit the airport and review the re-marking exhibit and areas to be re-marked. Site visits shall be coordinated in advance with the Airport Manager, (David Hahn, 804-399-7426), prior to accessing the airfield.
It is the intent of the Authority to award all work; however, the award of this contract is contingent upon the availability of local and state funds. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities and technicalities. The successful low bidder shall hold a valid Virginia contractor’s license.
Envelopes containing Proposals must be sealed, addressed to Dinwiddie Airport 6775 Beck-Chappell Dr, Petersburg, VA 23803 and marked on the envelope as follows:
“PROPOSAL FOR AIRFIELD MARKING”
